A crash course is a short, focused revision program. It is made for students who:
- have finished the syllabus but feel unsure,
- understood the chapters in class but forget them during practice,
- want to fix weak topics before the exam,

The Four Physics Chapters That Matter Most
In the CBSE Class 10 Science syllabus, physics usually comes from these chapters:

What to focus on in each chapter
Light: Reflection and Refraction
Learn the sign convention first. Most mistakes happen there. Then practise ray diagrams again and again until you can draw them without looking at the book.
The Human Eye and the Colourful World
This chapter is mostly about understanding. Learn the defects of the eye and how lenses fix them. Know the reasons behind rainbows, the blue sky and the red sun.
Electricity
This is the chapter with the most numericals. Master Ohm’s law, series and parallel circuits, and the formulas for heat and power. Practise many circuit questions.
Magnetic Effects of Electric Current
Learn the rules (like the right-hand thumb rule and Fleming’s left-hand rule) with small drawings. Know how a motor and a generator work.
A Sample Revision Plan
Here is an easy plan you can follow, even if you do not join any class. Change the days to match your own exam date.
Days 1 to 3: Light
Day 1: Read the notes and learn the sign convention. Day 2: Practise ray diagrams. Day 3: Solve numericals on mirrors and lenses.
Days 4 to 5: Human Eye
Day 4: Read and understand. Day 5: Write short answers in your own words.
Days 6 to 9: Electricity
Days 6 and 7: Learn the formulas and the circuit rules. Days 8 and 9: Solve many numericals, from easy to hard.
Days 10 to 11: Magnetic Effects
Day 10: Learn the rules with diagrams. Day 11: Practise questions and diagrams.
Days 12 to 14: Full revision and tests
Solve a full physics paper every day, check your mistakes, and fix them.
Common Mistakes Class 10 Students Make
- Reading the chapter many times but never solving questions.
- Skipping diagrams because they take time.
- Forgetting units in numericals.
- Learning formulas without knowing what each symbol means.
- Studying all night before the exam instead of revising calmly.
- Ignoring the previous year’s papers and sample papers.
