Class 12 is different from every other year in school. One exam decides your board marks, and for many students, the same marks also affect college admission. If you are also preparing for NEET, JEE or CUET, physics carries even more weight.
The 2027 board exams are only a few months away. That is enough time to make a real difference, if you use it well.
I am Zayn Tabish. I have taught physics for more than 15 years, including at institutes in New Delhi like VMC, Aakash and FIITJEE. In this blog, I will show you how to approach a Class 12 physics crash course, which areas need the most attention, and how to start without feeling overwhelmed.
Who Needs a Crash Course in Class 12?
A crash course is a good fit if:
- you have studied most of the syllabus but feel weak in numericals,
- your school pace was slow and a few units are still pending,
- you are balancing boards and an entrance exam, and need a clear plan,
- you scored low in recent tests and want to recover.
If you are starting from zero with very little time left, a crash course can still help, but we will plan carefully and focus on high-value topics first.
Class 12 Physics Syllabus: What to Expect
The CBSE Class 12 physics syllabus covers topics like these:
- Electric Charges and Fields
- Electrostatic Potential and Capacitance
- Current Electricity
- Moving Charges and Magnetism
- Magnetism and Matter
- Electromagnetic Induction
- Alternating Current
- Electromagnetic Waves
- Ray Optics and Optical Instruments
- Wave Optics
- Dual Nature of Radiation and Matter
- Atoms
- Nuclei
- Semiconductor Electronics
The paper usually has a theory part and a practical part. Chapter lists, marks and the exam pattern can change every year, so please check the latest syllabus on the official CBSE website or with your school. I do not have live access to check it for you.
Where Students Usually Gain or Lose Marks
Not all chapters are equal in effort. Here is how I look at them.
Chapters that need strong numerical practice
Electrostatics, Current Electricity and Ray Optics. Questions here are often step-by-step problems, so clean working earns clean marks.
Chapters that reward clear theory and diagrams
Electromagnetic Induction, Alternating Current, Wave Optics and Semiconductor Electronics. Learn the definitions, the diagrams and the reasons.
Chapters that are short but scoring
Dual Nature, Atoms and Nuclei. These have fewer formulas and more concepts, so they are good for quick wins when revised well.
A Month-by-Month Way to Use the Time Before 2027
Since the boards are a few months away, here is a simple roadmap.
Now to end of November: Fix the foundation.
Finish all pending chapters. For each one, learn the key definitions, derivations and formulas, then solve the NCERT questions.
December: Practice and speed.
Solve numericals from every unit. Start timing yourself. Revise derivations by writing them, not just reading.
January: Papers and weak spots.
Solve previous year papers and sample papers. Note where you lose marks and fix those topics.
Last few weeks: Calm revision.
Revise formulas, diagrams and derivations. Complete practical work. Sleep well and avoid new topics.
You can change the dates to match your own school schedule and your entrance exam plan.
Do Not Forget the Practicals
Many students ignore practicals and then feel stressed. The practical part is the easiest place to score well, because you control the effort. Keep your file and record complete, understand the experiments, and be ready for viva questions. A short revision of each experiment’s aim, apparatus, procedure and result goes a long way.
How My Crash Course Is Organised
- Live online classes. Join from home and ask doubts as we go.
- Unit-wise revision. We take one unit at a time and move on only when it is clear.
- Derivations and numericals. Both are practised in class, since boards ask both.
- Previous year question practice. We solve board-style questions and learn how answers should be written.
- Tests and feedback. Regular tests show which units need more time.
Class Options
One-to-one: A plan made around you. Good if you have less time or specific weak units.
Small group: A friendly group with steady practice. Good if you learn well with others.
CBSE and Bihar Board Students
CBSE students: My revision follows the CBSE pattern, including how questions are asked and how answers are marked.
Bihar Board students: I teach Bihar Board students too, and my classes are in English medium. If you are looking for an English medium batch for the 2027 Bihar Board Class 12 exam, I plan the revision around your board’s syllabus and question style. I also explain physics terms in simple words, so you can write answers with confidence in English.
Send me your board and your school syllabus when you contact me, and we will plan the chapters from there.
Online Learning for Class 12
Online classes work well for Class 12 because you save travel time, and every hour can go into study and practice. You can learn from anywhere in India or abroad, with the same teacher and the same quality.
About Fees
Fees depend on the type of class (one-to-one or group), the number of classes and the schedule. I suggest you attend a demo class first and then decide. For current fees, please message me on WhatsApp: [add number]
Free Ways to Improve Right Now
If you want to start before joining any class, try this:
- Solve every NCERT example and exercise question.
- Practise previous year papers under timed conditions.
- Write derivations on paper, once a week.
- Make a one-page formula sheet for each unit.
- Attend my free demo class to see if my teaching style suits you.
The full crash course is paid, but these steps are free and they work.
About Notes and PDFs
Many students look for a PDF of crash course notes. Short notes are useful for quick revision, but they cannot replace practice. In my class, I guide you on the notes and the practice material. Please ask me about the exact format when you enrol.
